2/29/08 Complete NSF EMT grant proposal draft NSF Emerging Models and Technologies (EMT) for Computation. Submit as much as possible to FastLane, notify Mary. Proposal deadline is March 13, 2008.
2/29/08 CPATH grant proposal work Work on additions to NSF CISE Pathways to Revitalized Undergraduate Computing Education  (CPATH). Possibly work through March 3.
2/28/08 Finish SIGCSE poster draft Make sure first version of SIGCSE 2008 poster is created, "Computer Science Workshops from the Villanova Magic School Science Camp" with Melissa Corning, Mary-Angela, Najib.
3/03/08 Produce revised magic workshop book Revise "Using Magic to Teach Computer Science." Add additional tricks, patter ideas, scholarly content, photographs. Determine whether or not to produce companion DVD.
3/07/08 Poster abstract submitted with Mike Mason Mike Mason et al. (including me) submitted abstract proposal to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, Section on Public Health, poster session on public health issues, May 6, 2008. Acceptance notification is March 20, 2008.
3/08/08 SysCon 2008 submission & registration deadline Submission deadline for IEEE SysCon 2008 paper, "System of Systems Issues for the 2008 U.S. National Healthcare Information Network Remote Patient Monitoring Requirements." [EDAS link] Elliot says it is a special session, not a paper, so it does not require a submission.
3/10/08 Finish SIGCSE workshop prep Finish preparation of slides, handouts, notes, rehearsal, and learning kits for "Using Magic to Teach Computer Science" workshop at SIGCSE 2008.
3/11/08 CPATH grant proposal submission deadline Final submission deadline for grant proposal to NSF CISE Pathways to Revitalized Undergraduate Computing Education  (CPATH).

5/23/08 Outline of green computing paper Prepare possible outline for green computing paper for SIGCSE, "Green Computer Science Departments", idea being to provide formulas, recommendations, and benchmarking results to serve as political fuel to motivate greening one's department or university.
