1/06/06 RESNA submission deadline Deadline for submission to RESNA 2006 conference. Submitted "Improving Speech Recognition" paper on 1/05/06.
1/06/06 Start travel funding request Contact Sebastian and Tim regarding travel to SIGCSE.  They can request travel funding through the graduate studies office by filling out a form. Check with chair to determine best approach.
1/20/06 Present colloquium talk (ACT Lab) Develop the powerpoint template to use for SIGCSE talks (CS, Villanova, ACT Lab).  Prepare the colloquium talk, 45-50 minutes.
2/2006 Update ACT Lab web site Add all relevant contributors, projects, downloads, publications, resources, project brainstorm ideas, conferences, etc.
2/20/06 Plan next phase of research Fill in this schedule through end of May, guided by my sabbatical proposed schedule.
2/06/06 Colloquium speaker Deliver colloquium talk at Villanova on ACT Lab development and projects.
2/20/06 Coordinate Bryan Wagner's submission to CNAN 2006 Reformulation of Bryan Wagner's computational nanotechnology research, assist with revisions as needed, submit to CNAN 2006, deadline 2/20/06.
2/21/06 Consider JERIC for articles Evaluate JERIC journal for submission of articles on jFAST and Labyrinth.  Contact Tim White, Joe Distasio.
2/21/06 Consider JOGD for Labyrinth article Evaluate Journal of Game Development for submission of revisied Labyrinth article, contact Joe Distasio.
2/21/06 Contact NTI Reconnect and explore potential of research thru the Philadelphia area nanotech research group (Nanotechnology Institute).
2/26/06 Submit paper to FM 2006 Formal Methods 2006 conference, collaborate with Vijay, John, Bob and Pete on preparation of paper based on initial ARCES research.
2/27/06 Update SNITCH GUI & algorithm Perform final updates to SNITCH application in preparation for demo at SIGCSE conference, focus on GUI look & feel, accuracy of selection algorithm, and html report generation.  Coordinate with Sebastian.

3/14/06 Present Internet Safety talk at parenting group meeting in Wilmington, Delaware
3/17/06 Identify ARCES research outlets Identify additional publication outlets for ARCES research, review listing of pertinent conferences on ACT Lab site.
3/20/06 RESNA author notification Find out about the acceptance status of "Improving Speech Recognition" paper. Paper was accepted.
3/31/06 CNAN author notification Find out about acceptance of two CNAN papers.  Both papers were accepted.
4/06/06 Create tech report Create tech report from JILP paper, following online instructions.
5/08/06 ARCES Program Manger handoff Take over position as ARCES Program Manager and P.I. on contract.
5/19/06 Finish Google grant draft Finish draft of Google grant, email to Bob for comment and next steps.  Grant should cover 2 projects: SNITCH and 3D image searching.
5/30/06 Modeling paper submitted Vijay, as lead author, submitted revised modeling paper to International Conference on Formal Engineering Methods (ICFEM), China.
6/06/06 Magic school paper submitted Mary Angela submitted final revised paper (I gave full pass on 6/05) to Frontiers in Education (FIE) conference, October XX, 2006.  Paper is accepted.
6/12/06 Finish ARCES organization Complete my first pass at getting ARCES project management on Villanova side organized, including internal process blog.
6/14/06 Google research grant meeting Meet with Mary Schremp to finalize my Google Research grant application, and get it out the door with all appropriate budget and paperwork considerations.
6/22-26/06 RESNA Conference RESNA 2006 Conference, Atlanta, Georgia.  Presentation of "Improving Speech Recognition to Assist Real-time Classroom Note Taking" (tbd).
