Researchers Donna Tartasky and Betty Keech collected data in an effort to identify characteristics of patients who are likely to miss glaucoma appointments. If such patients could be identified, interventions ranging from phone call reminders to provided transportation could be used to assist the patients.

The variables in the dataset include:

• Appointment Status (Present/Absent)

• Gender

• Age

• Marital Status

• Reason for Missing the Appointment

• Mode of Transportation to the Appointment

• Lives Alone (Yes/No)

• Medical Problem

• Satisfied with Clinic

• Satisfied with Vision

• The Number of Years with Glaucoma
