Exploratory Teratology Study in Rats
Part 2 - Table 1
Forty pregnant female rats were assigned randomly to one of four treatments (10 rats/treatment) including a Vehicle Control and graded oral doses (50, 100, 200 mg/kg) of an investigational compound. Dosing was performed once daily on Days 16 through 19 of gestation. On Day 20, the animals were sacrificed. The anogenital distance and sex of each fetus was recorded. Average anogenital distances for each sex in a litter are shown in Table 1.
- For each sex, is there a dose related change in anogenital distance?
- Is there a relationship between the sexes in anogenital distance?
- Is there a dose related change in this relationship?
- Can dose proportionality be established?
