3D Modeling in Blender using 2D Front and Side Views

1. Watch Jonathan Williamson's hour-long video tutorial on Character Modeling in Blender (scroll down to the full video download image).

2. Search the Internet for front and side reference images of a simple character and model it in Blender, using the techniques you learned from the tutorial. Try something simple -- for example, you could model the funny cartoon character posted on idleworm.com. Keep in mind that we will animate the character in a later assignment.

3. Show (or email) the 2D views and your 3D Blender model to your instructor.
