Performance in human-computer interaction
When a computer is interacting with humans, a transaction is divided
1) Entry time - the time for the user to enter a command.
2) System response time - the time between when the user enters a
command and when the complete response is displayed.
3) Think time - the time between the reception of the response and
starting to enter the next command.
Psychological experiments show that reducing (2) also reduces (3)!
