no fuss focaccia

Now the cut version.

okay, the flash gives it a nice whole wheat color. This batch had the 2 c whole wheat flour mixed with 1 1/2 c all purpose flour. But what about flashing it to remove shadows?

hmm. a bit bleak.

2016 adjustments with more external olive oil and course sea salt.

first the initial ball.

 

then the first rise.

then punch down.

then second rise and stretch to pan, well olive oiled.

hands on!

then  roughed up severely to give a nice bumpy texture to the surface, to the point of pushing your fingers through the dough.

just out of the oven.  notice the  coarse salt.

then rested and cut for use.

and served with a hearty winter veggie soup during Snowmaggedon 2016.

a glass of wine never hurts...
