Automated Photoelectric Telescopes

The 0.8-m automated photoelectric telescope (APT) on Mt. Hopkins, Arizona, has maintained a full observation schedule. Operated by a Four College Consortium(FCC) consisting of The College of Charleston, The Citadel, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and Villanova University, the FCC-APT is supported by NSF grant AST86-16362. The 0.8M APT is equipped with UBVRI wide-band filters as well as uvby, H and H narrow- and wide-band interference filters. McCook served as the P.A. for the Fairborn-Villanova T-6 (or F-T6) telescope.
