During the report period, 9/94 - 9/95, the staff included Assistant Professor Carol W. Ambruster, Instructor Laurence E. DeWarf, Professor Edward F. Guinan, Associate Professor Frank P. Maloney, Professor George P. McCook (Chairman), and Professor Edward M. Sion. Dr. Jason A. Cardelli joined the faculty in January 1995 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Min Huang served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, working with Dr. Sion. Dr. Davoud Jassour, from the faculty of Tabriz University (Iran) spent his sabbatical as a research associate at Villanova. Sergio Messina, of Catania University (Italy) joined the department as a pre-doctoral fellow, working with Dr. Guinan and Dr. McCook. Recent graduate Mr. David Steelman served as research assistant for the White Dwarf Catalog.
Brian Abbott, Kunegunda Belle, Dirk Fabian, Daniel Griffin, Kenneth Guerin, J. Erich Jay, James Marshall, Todd Mahler, Jamison Maley, Nicholas Morgan, Quyen Nguyen, Brian Pomerance, and Maureen Scheible served as research assistants. Mr. Mark Devita of Eastern College served as a RUI student researcher under NSF grant AST 93-15365. Dr. Elizabeth R. Jewell served as Department Assistant.
