This web page provides information about submitting final copy
for papers, panels, and specials sessions. Instructions for some
required fields differ for papers, panels, and special sessions.
So, please read the entire page and take note of specific requirements.
Submissions that do not conform to the expected standards, specifications,
and formats will be returned to the author for corrections and/or
alterations. Submissions that fail to meet
the expected standards, specifications, and formats by the deadline
will not be published.
NOTICE TO ALL AUTHORS: Several activities must be performed to ensure that your work is correctly represented in the conference program and proceedings. Please follow this list of steps carefully.
To check and/or update your Title and Author(s) listing in the SIGCSE database, use your submission ID number and password assigned to your submission by accessing
Three submissions are necessary: one to the online database maintained by SIGCSE and two to the publisher. The publisher is to receive (1) the pdf file and (2) a copy of the actual source file. The source file is needed to allow the publisher to extract text and data to produce the metadata for ACM's Dgital Library. Paper authors must also submit a signed copyright release form. The instructions below will guide you in submitting the final copies to the online database and the publisher.
Step (1): Complete final editing of your submission according to the instructions listed above.
Step (2): Convert your paper into Adobe PDF format. Be sure to retain a copy of the source document, as well. Refer to our hints on creating PDF documents.
Step (3): Using your ID number and password assigned to your submission for review, submit the pdf file of the final copy to the SIGCSE online database by accessing
Step (4): Submit two files (pdf and source) to the publisher -- follow the submission instructions at the Publisher's Website. Instructions for paper authors is here, and instructions for panel and special session organizers is here.
Step (5): Fax the ACM Copyright Release Form (for papers) or ACM Permission Form (for panels and special sessions) to the publisher. Instructions for paper authors is here, and instructions for panel and special session organizers is here..
Step (6): Send email to dharms@depauw.edu with the subject line "Submission - 'Name' " (where you fill in the appropriate lead author's or moderator's name) to inform the Publications Editor that your final copy has been updated in the SIGCSE online database, that you have submitted both pdf and source files to the publisher, and that you have faxed the appropriate copyright/permission form to the publisher.
Deadline: All electronic submissions must be received by Monday, November 24, 2003.
